Michael Dufays

Biography

Michael Dufays was born in Montreal, Canada on March 7th, 1973 and has been a professional actor for over 20 years and a professional Stage Combat Instructor and Fight Director for over 10 years. He is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NY and also attended the illustrious Citadel/Banff Professional Training Program, and is a Certified Stage Combat Instructor with Fight Director's Canada. From 2009-2010 Michael worked Two Seasons at the Stratford Festival of Canada as an Assistant Fight Director working hands on with Canadian theatre Luminaries such as Colm Feore, Tom McCamus, Garaint Wyn Davies, Michael Therriault and Dion Johnstone, and has taught at numerous Highschools and Universities in the GTA. His On Camera credits include credits on the series, LostGirl (Showcase), Darknet (Copperheart Prod), Conner Undercover (Family Channel) A Day at the Officer (Bravo), Ghostly Encounters (Platt Prod), Mayday , Don't Lick The Pig (YTV) and Ryan Gosling Must Be Stopped (End of Rope Prod). Michael was nominated for, "Breakout Male Action Star" at the Action On Film Festival for his performance in the EOS productions film Heroic Bloodshed. In theatre his nominations include a Dora Mavor award for Best Actor, originating the role of 'Yori' in Daniel MacIvor's play, Arigato,Tokyo (2013) and a nominated for a Capital Critics Circle Award for Best Actor for the role of Bill in The Voice of the Turtle, for the Classic Theatre Festival (2012).
